Philippians 4:4-9

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. and the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

New Experiences All Around Almost

We, being the crazy people we are, decided yesterday afternoon that a trip to the coast was in order for the weekend.  So we were up at 3am.  Yep, we are that crazy!  After a long trip for David to the coast while everyone else slept.  We limited out by 8:50.
Fani got the first clam of the day bright and early this morning.
Then David worked with Amani for his, while Caleb started his own hole right beside them.
Amani was pretty impressed after we had spent the evening before trying to explain what was going to happen.
Hannah got her first as well.  Both of ours had been clamming about 8 years ago, but did not remember it at all.
We then headed to Shore Acres for a look around, none of us had ever been there before.  The kids were impressed with some of the interesting plants.
They were still trying to warm up after the morning in the ocean, plus they just like hanging out together.
Fani struck this pose and said take my picture--so we did.

Everyone was very impressed with the prickly monkey tree.  It did hurt to touch.
I think Amani was going for the monkey in the monkey tree look.  Believe it or not Hannah and Caleb had run ahead to smell the roses.  Literally they smelled wonderful.
Amani was amazed with the waves as the tide was coming in crashing against the rocks.
There were these beautiful rocks all over with the strata going diagonally down the rocks.  The weatherization was wonderful to see and so interesting.
Just threatening to jump over the side...

David got some interesting shots of the rock formations and us by getting low and shooting up.
These look like sand, but it was all rock---just beautiful.
And always more precious when you put your treasures on it.
The kids decided that it looked like some kind of planet from Star Trek---Yes they have all become Trekkie's with Star Trek Voyager.  Thanks Dad for implanting this in me.
Amani liked the bed and Caleb and Fani like the chair looking creations.
Then the boys goofed in Sunset Bay while David, Hannah and I took a nap in the sun before our ride back.
And this is what the car looked like on the trip home!

What a fun day of memories made.

Choosing to Delight in Him in the everyday busyness.
