Some days are just those plain old days with lots going on, but nothing too exciting.
Today was one of those days.
Getting stuff out of the attic for clamming tomorrow and camping next week.
The boys had a good talk with their new family and watch World Cup Soccer, Caleb found a good book and read six chapters, and Hannah got to play with her new Barbie's.
I am learning to like normal, plain, some what boring days!
Dealing with lives touched by trauma, life can sometimes be far, far from laid back and typical.
But that is OK too when it is the path laid before you--One step at a time God gives wisdom and strength for the moment.
And boy does it make the days like this one pictured here priceless.
A morning of enjoying horses before a hard day helping David's sister re-roof her house.
These kids moved a whole pallet of shingles to the second story roof---without a word of complaint I may say. I was very impressed. One day at a time. One victory at a time.
Blessings to you as you walk into your weekend--keep your eyes open for the opportunities laid in your path, and keep praying for Erinn, that they find an antibiotic that works for her that she will not react to.
Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. and the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
